Two people who were injured when the tornado passed through Lancaster County were being treated at the trauma center at Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln, the facility said in a news release. It said the patients were in triage and no details were released on their condition. Another tornado hit an area on the eastern edge of Omaha, passing directly through parts of Eppley Airfield, the city's airport. Officials closed the airport to aircraft operations to access damage but then reopened the facility, Omaha Airport Authority Chief Strategy Officer Steve McCoy said.

OMAHA, Neb. — A tornado plowed through suburban Omaha, Nebraska, on Friday afternoon, damaging hundreds of homes and other structures as the twister tore for miles along farmland and into subdivisions. Injuries were reported but it wasn't yet clear if anyone was killed in the storm. It's also because of the continued shift with college-educated white voters toward Democrats. In 2020, Trump won college-educated white men by 3 points in 2020, according to exit polls, but the latest NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll showed Biden winning the group by more than 20 points. But they are declining as a share of the population and of the electorate.
Recreational Eagle Center (REC) Hours
The Field House originally contained a basketball floor with a seating capacity of 12,000, a complete track facility and room for indoor football and baseball training. The football, track and field, and baseball teams moved to the Camp Randall Memorial Sports Center, better known as "The Shell", upon its completion in 1956. The intercollegiate section of the facility housed the men's basketball and boxing teams, and the wrestling squad.

Seven Big Ten schools will have beer flowing in their football stadiums in 2019. An exterior renovation to the 88-year-old building will include new, historically accurate doors and windows that will increase energy efficiency. The price tag was reported at $2.995 million, 92% of which will be paid for from UW athletics gift funds. In 2016, the Badger locker rooms for the Field House were remodeled with team rooms for relaxing, a projector for watching film and studying, leather sofas, study tables, chairs, and a kitchenette. Areas in the Field House such as seating were new and improved in the summer of 2022. To prepare for our return to the Field House this season, we wanted to share our latest match day information regarding a safe fan experience and digital ticketing.

After his impression of former President Donald Trump and joke about South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem killing her dog drew both laughs and groans at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday, the comedian seized on Trump's public criticism. At UWL, we live out the Wisconsin idea of public service and community engagement. We are proud to work with our many partners in La Crosse, giving back every day to a community that generously supports our teaching, learning and service mission. Seitz, a staff member in the school's Office of the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration who took over athletics budget duties when Mario Morris left UW for Notre Dame last month, said the projected net surplus for the year is $170,181. King told the committee that the athletic department hopes to seek bids for the projects this fall, with construction to begin early in 2020. The redevelopment of the south plaza outside the Field House was ticketed at $2.998 million, with 94% of the money coming from gifts.

As more Big Ten schools introduce beer sales at games, Wisconsin Badgers won't follow
King notes that fans seem intrigued by the new south end zone, but many will have to experience it from afar. The Field House serves as the competitive home of the Wisconsin wrestling team. Badger fans make the facility one of the loudest and most intimidating arenas in the country. Wisconsin has earned more than 100 All-America honors in more than 100 years of competition. The building just northeast of the state capital of Lincoln had collapsed with about 70 employees inside and several people trapped, sheriff's officials said. Everyone was evacuated, and three people had injuries that were considered not life-threatening, authorities said.

Currently, wrestling is the other sport that uses the building…..Bucky Badger is the school’s mascot and he makes an appearance at the volleyball games. Biden is trying to make up ground there with younger voters and Black voters, groups he's lagging with. Trump and groups supporting him have spent only about $700,000 in Pennsylvania in that same time frame. In Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, Biden has caught up, pulled even or taken a lead in some recent surveys. And Pennsylvania happens to be where Biden and allies are spending the second-most on ads right now — almost $4 million in the past month and a half since Super Tuesday, the unofficial start to the general election. He's qualified so far for the ballot in three states — Michigan, Hawaii and Utah. A Quinnipiac poll last month showed Trump's lead expanding from 3 to 5 points when RFK Jr. was included.
The Badgers needed only six years to win their first of eight NCAA team titles under head coach John Walsh. UW added four runner-up team finishes and 38 individual NCAA champions before the sport was discontinued in 1960. Noem, the governor of South Dakota and a potential running mate for presumptive Republican presidential candidate Trump, faced public backlash this week for admitting to killing her dog. The joke — a reference to a man who set himself on fire outside the courthouse where Trump's criminal trial was taking place and later died of his injuries — earned a mixed reaction of laughs, groans, and gasps from audience.
"Not soon enough, not soon enough," Friend replied, before drawing more audible gasps with the line, "I am killing this dinner harder than Kristi Noem kills the puppies." Comedian Matt Friend found himself facing a tough crowd during the 2024 White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on Saturday night, where his topical jokes about a dead puppy and self-immolation elicited audible gasps from the audience. Police arrested a suspect nearby and recovered a firearm, Kyle said. Police did not immediately provide additional details about the suspect or what prompted the dispute. "We decided to take a little bit of a breather. I'm not sure what the future holds for this. But as of right now, this is just the best-case scenario, but this is not a publicity stunt," he shared. “Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she said at the time.
To accommodate larger crowds, a second balcony was added in 1936, boosting seating capacity from 8,600 to 12,000. In January 1998, Badger basketball moved to the Kohl Center, but the field house continues to host the women’s volleyball and men’s wrestling teams. The new Field House opened in 1930, with 9000 attending a dedication and a basketball game against Pennsylvania. It housed a successful college boxing program from 1933 until 1960.
